The sea was rougher than usual that day. And under the dreary sky ensconced with grey clouds, the rocky coastline that was being smashed by towering breakers was not a place I found solace in. It wasn't until later that day that a clearing in the sky opened up at an opportune time right as the sea calmed down. It was perfect for capturing the demeanor of the Pacific.
Memories like these keep me sane during these tough times, and reminds me of all the rich experiences I have had. These didn't happen by chance, but by specific choices that I made, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunities to make these specific choices. The past year has been anything but placid, and the recent political turmoil over the last few weeks has stretched my sanity. I am hoping that just like the dreary day that opened up to a beautiful evening, the sour temper of the fast few months will be replaced by a sense of normalcy.
